Data Cleansing & Verification in marketing and sales, clean data means that the data is current, accurate, all fields are complete, it is consistent with no duplicate entries, and it is formatted uniformly. Labovitz and Chang¹ have shown that it is ten times more expensive to fix bad data when it is needed than to cleanse it when it enters your system. So, we at The Lead Crafters create a “hook” to our master database in the MAP or CRM so that no data enters your system that is not clean. This avoids the tremendous cost of constantly cleaning data.
